Seen Napoleon tonight. Whole movie felt disjointed. Had some cool scenes like his conversation with Alexander I the Russian Emperor.

The battle scenes were fine but why so many trenches?

The movie focuses on his romance with Josephine and his reactions to her cucking him. Disappointing.

For example they have him abandon the Egyptian campaign not because the political situation in France was dire but because he found out Josephine had a lover. 😐

With a Ridley Scott movie you obviously can’t expect historic perfection but some of the choices felt almost deliberately obtuse.
