So we can now truly appreciate redundancy. And we mean redundancy in every sense of the word: for cross-chain, for our validators, and for the broader DeFi ecosystem.
When a closely related codebase experiences a vulnerability, a precautionary halt is a vital feature. It’s like locking the blast doors. It gives devs the critical time needed to analyze the exploit and ensure Maya is safe from the same attack vector. 🛡️
Here is why this multi-layered redundancy is our absolute best defense:
1⃣ System redundancy: Built-in emergency brakes. Nodes collectively agreeing to halt prevents catastrophic loss. We never rely purely on perfect code, we have a mechanical backup.
2⃣ Validator redundancy: Distributing power across a wide network of independent nodes ensures that no single bad actor or single point of failure can compromise the network's consensus.
3⃣ Ecosystem redundancy: Maya Protocol existing alongside THORChain is vital. If one DeFi highway is temporarily closed for repairs, having an alternative route ensures that native cross-chain swaps can eventually continue.
Security is never "finished", it is an ongoing process of learning, adapting, and reinforcing. We are monitoring the data and will only resume operations when we are 100% confident.
Thank you for trusting the process. We build stronger together, tribe. 💪
TSS gives us the security of a multisig, but with major upgrades:
🔹Lower gas fees (only 1 signature on-chain)
🔹True cross-chain compatibility
🔹Zero single-entity control
Check out our quick breakdown of why TSS is the gold standard for decentralized security. 👇
MWM 146 Recap Here’s what you need to know from this week’s session 👇
Protocol updates 🍫
• The latest release is live and going through stabilization, with a few remaining items being polished.
• A churn was completed successfully after a long pause.
• Work on v128 is nearing completion, with Cardinal scheduled to merge soon.
• Early testing and review processes are already underway as we prepare upcoming releases.🚀
Builder session with @BiorLabs
We spent time discussing what it looks like to build a self-custody product in the current market, from early design decisions to long-term execution.
Key topics included:
• Designing UX that feels familiar to users without compromising self custody.
• Building products iteratively and staying consistent through market cycles.
• The realities of fundraising today and the need to remain lean and focused.
• The importance of transparent communication and regular updates to maintain trust with users.
Where Maya fits ⚙️
From a builder standpoint, Maya provides native cross-chain infrastructure that enables broader asset support at the wallet level.
This includes assets not commonly available across other swappers, giving builders more flexibility when designing self-custody experiences.
The session also touched on early ideas around rewards, referrals, and how infrastructure and interfaces can align more closely over time.

⚙️PROTOCOL UPGRADE V3.15.0⚙️
V3.15.0 includes 41 merge requests set to go live tomorrow. Hats off to the devs making it happen 🔥
Key takeaways ⤵️
🔸Outbound memoless transactions (fewer failed outbounds on restrictive chains)
🔸Swap execution fixes (streaming + limit/rapid swaps)
🔸Security and safety improvements
🔸Chain-specific reliability upgrades, incl. Solana as launch approaches

This marks the start of @THORChain's marketing push
Core infrastructure is now in place:
→ Website rebuild
→ Unified content ops
→ Reliable analytics
→ Directory clean-up
A clear Q1 narrative is in place. Now we scale 🚀

👉Security isn't just about TSS and Cosmos-SDK, it's about economic alignment. When the community OWNS the liquidity, the protocol works for them.
Built with you, for you. Power to the Tribe!!🍫
It’s interesting that Eth has scaled in a decentralized manner and no one said anything
Once again tech and price are rarely related.
Same stuff, lots of nothing then step functions
How life works as well. Grind till people recognize and then you get the step. Ignore noise

Here is everything you need from this week’s call 🍫
What is coming in version 1.27?🌐
• Cardano grant work is complete. The next step is StageNet and final simulations
• Cacao Bonding is on the way. Bonded units count as half an LP unit
• https://t.co/oXktZujyu3 now falls back to Maya automatically when a route pauses
• Preparing for ThorChain’s January upgrade which includes CosmWasm and Rujira.
Chain updates
• Dash is getting Instalock for faster observation and settlement
• Zcash support for sending to shielded addresses is ready for review
• Kujira is being deprecated because of low volume and high resource cost
NativeSwap updates 👾:
Sorouv shared how the whole project started and how it grew from a simple idea into an interface doing around one million dollars in monthly volume since July.
The platform lives on https://t.co/mqu4tnUGrF and already works on mobile if you connect through Keystore.
They also launched a Cacao Pool Tracker at https://t.co/6leGk6G6ht where you can check your LP position and add more liquidity. Withdrawals are coming soon.
Roadmap
• Ledger and Trezor support
• WalletConnect
• A cautious review of memo less transactions
• Maya and ThorChain remain the priority with better fees inside the ecosystem
On stability
Recent Dash and ZEC downtime came from a UTXO bug inherited from ThorChain.
Maya has now moved from smoke tests to full simulation testing, so 1.27 should feel noticeably more stable moving forward.
