I don't believe in access barriers when it comes to art. This includes literature. Economic barriers to poetry: bullshit. No one should be prevented from reading poems because they can't afford a book. Permanent offer: you want my book & money's tight: it's free, on me, happily.
@_rayehendrix Yes, and normal to have a sort of postpartum depression, too. There's a lot of investment, and then a lot of letting go and letting be. It helps me to keep in mind that the lived poetry is still happening within, even though it hasn't yet germinated into language.
@HazardPressUK Enjoyed this, thank you! Except the slower thing. "Vary the pace according to the rhythms of the poem," would be my advice to myself, i.e., embody the dynamism, which sometimes means quickening, sometimes means gearing down.
@Irishali13 Sorry to hear this. You're one of the kindest, most generous people I've ever met here. I hope there so much more beauty and joy in your days to help drown out the noise. 🙏
It's my birthday & I'm trying to break a depression. What I'd most love is for the book Addie & I made to find more hearts & homes. All royalties go to the org that saved her from death row. Maybe give it a try? (And if you're broke, DM for one on me.) ❤️🩹 https://t.co/tOfIknjEYM
@PublishersWkly They can't feasibly shut down p2p and other sharing networks. You make pc-friendly media, it's shareable. Day of release, leaked, especially if it's digitized.
"Poetry saved my life, so I vowed to give my life to the art in return, in the hopes that my art might one day do for others what the works of my predecessors did for me. And 25 years later, I’m still trying to keep that vow” - @RickyRayPoet for @McrPoetryLib !

I very rarely get to interview. When I do, I always go as deep as I can. Hope you enjoy this glimpse into the soul Addie and I share with Mother Earth, and the abiding sense of kinship they inspire me to write from. https://t.co/o6L7OGB6ag
@fly_press spoke with Aryamati Prize winner @RickyRayPoet about his incredible collection The Soul We Share that reflects on paid, gratitude and human nature👏

Apologies to anyone I owe responses. Absolutely blasted and haven't even been able to look at email for a couple weeks. Load lightens on Sunday, so expect replies early next week! ❤️🩹
So grateful to the Hive @HoneyLiterary (esp. @dorothykchan, @RitaMookerjee & @christinamgia) for letting me & Addie be part of the Infinity issue. The last poem published from my Addie book. One more home where she gets to live in gorgeous glory forever. https://t.co/wjnTBIdLiv
