I tried to list out the most important early rehab tips I could remember below. If you look back in my feed and search by "🐿️", you will see Sugar, we released her at 15 weeks old. Yours is maybe 3-4 weeks.

Quick temporary care tips for a baby squirrel

Wash your hands thoroughly before handling it. Baby squirrels are tiny and very susceptible to human germs.
Warmth is critical. They can’t regulate their own temperature well. Make a simple heat source: put dry uncooked rice in a clean old sock, tie the end, and microwave for about 30 seconds. Squish it to check for hot spots, then wrap it in a soft cloth and place it next to the baby so it can cozy up to it (like a mom). Reheat as needed.

Never put a cold baby straight onto formula—warm it up first.

hydration comes before food on first day or two. Young or weak ones are often dehydrated. Mix a little sugar and a pinch of salt into warm water (or use unflavored Pedialyte diluted with water). Warm it and offer small amounts frequently with a syringe or eyedropper. This is the main priority at the start.

Once it’s warm and taking fluids, switch to squirrel formula or puppy milk replacer (Esbilac is commonly used—available at many pet stores). Do not use cow’s milk or regular human baby formula.Always warm the formula to about body temperature (like you would for a human baby).
Feed with a small syringe (the kind with soft nipples from Amazon or a pet store works well) or an eyedropper in the meantime.
Offer small amounts often—roughly every 2 hours for very young babies—rather than large feeds.
There are charts online based on body weight (often around 5% of body weight per feeding). If you have a small scale that can weigh in grams, use that to guide amounts so you don’t overfeed.

Keep the baby in a quiet, dark, draft-free box lined with soft cloth (no loose towels that can snag nails). Minimize handling beyond feeding and warmth checks.
This is only a bridge until a licensed wildlife rehabilitator can take over. Contact them as soon as possible—they have the experience and proper supplies. In the meantime these steps (warmth + careful hydration/feeding) give the baby the best shot. Watch for signs of distress (bubbling from the nose during feeding, extreme lethargy, etc.) and stop if something seems wrong.

Side note: Im not a rehabber - One wasn't available so I had to learn fast and ended up losing sugars brother in the first 3 days. Some of them give up and refuse to eat. Its almost a 50/50 survival rate even if you do everything right
