When I uploaded this video on Instagram, someone commented saying that I’m lying because I said I’m in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and can watch football in real time. According to him, I’m on a rig close to land; even though he could clearly see the bow of the ship.

At first, I shrugged at his ignorance, but I became even more embarrassed and disappointed when I saw that he is, in fact, a commissioned Nigerian Navy officer.

For the first time, I had a conversation with a female inmate who is serving a sentence for armed robbery.

I asked her why she did it.

The only thing she kept repeating was:
