"pedagogy should precede technology" I think if every teacher put this idea at the forefront of implementing tech in their classroom, it would be consistently success and useful! #Lesson7
@ftheo_educ307 I was shocked as well! I definitely wasn't doing that at that age, however I guess we can't ignore that they're growing up in a different era than we did.. still seems nuts and that they should go outside lol
At what age did you start using technology on a daily basis? Do you think things would be different if you waited until you were older to interact online?
@CourtneyPerra I saw the trailer and was kind of freaked out actually! scared of what facts they were going to say about how and who listens to you ! LOL
@robyn93530409 OUUFF! that's a tricky one, I guess I could see both sides of the argument but I always come back to our rights of freedom... what do you think?
@LexiaPiccolo Totally agree! It's essentially what you are looking for. If you try to explore new things and new cultures you can but if you want to stay in your bubble of only the things you like, then that is also possible
@gabyborrelli I think this is fair and I would argue most people aren't confrontational. However, there are people online who become more confrontational due to the fact that it isn't face to face which results in being more argumentative. thoughts?
I think technology gives us both freedom and the illusion of freedom. Social media for instance gives you the freedom to share however what some people share is just an illusion of their real life #lesson5
"we-ness" is something I think we all would love to see happen over social media but we have a long way to go before the us versus them mentality stops. thoughts? #lesson5
Facebook can be helpful for students to group together and be able to meet others from their classes without physically meeting them, which is ultimately helpful in a time like now when we are not physically going to school #Lesson2
I think Twitter is a very easy social media platform to incorporate into the classroom as it can be easily used as a discussion forum. Most of us have a forum for each of our classes anyway (on Moodle) and therefore can be assimilated seamlessly #lesson2
After hearing the 4 social medias discussed in #lesson2, I actually tend to forget that Youtube falls in this category as it has been incorporated in the classroom, at least as long as I've been in school, pretty actively and consistently. Agree or disagree?
