This morning, the Great American Outdoors Act was passed! 🌲❤️Funding from the act will provide financial support for the 193-million-acre National Forest System.
On Aug 10, Mortimer Campground in Pisgah National Forest will temporarily close for major construction of a bridge to replace the low water crossing of Thorps Creek, which flows through the campground. It may remain closed for the rest of the season, depending on construction.
The Wilson Creek area on the Grandfather RD was impacted by heavy rainfall this past weekend. The upper Wilson Creek watershed received over 12 inches of rainfall. Significant rainfall over a short time period led to flooding, landslides, and downed trees. https://t.co/XBevCc2yAj
