@BrianGibbard1 Thanks Brian. I'm seeing that I'm an implicit rule follower, and so have been playing as though hard mode is on, and I have to use letters I've revealed ... Maybe being willing to try something different will help here and might get me looking at other things differently?
@GregEccleston11@RicFinlay Thanks Ric and Greg for your thoughts on this. I haven't got hard mode turned on, but I tend to play as though it is, and so for this #613 means that I am stabbing in the dark when there are many possibilities. Maybe I'll relax that internally imposed restriction π
Update on my Wordle stats, now that I've done 200 (of a possible 564): I can't remember the time in the last 6 months when I got it first go π; I had two more misses, including on this 200th π€¦; and I averaged 4 in this 100, meaning over 200 it is down to 4.25 - a good trend π
@BrianGibbard1 Merry Christmas Brian. This one wouldn't budge for me ... I needed a nudge and I ended up in fudge, because I didn't judge it right π€¦
@BrianGibbard1 Brian, me thinks we followed a similar path, except my second guess managed to put the final letter in its correct place ... then like you, I took 3 goes to get it - hmmm, did we have the same two "wrong guesses" once we had those 3 letters? After anger subsides we could checkπ
@BrianGibbard1 Hello Brian. Sorry for slow reply - somehow I missed your reply until now ... anyway, I'm living in Geraldton, Western Australia, and have been for the past almost 4 years - came for 6 months to do research and here I am - with a focus on issues of fatherlessness - see picture.
