The RPD and WPD are proud to be a part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, benefiting the Special Olympics. On Friday, June 5th at 9:30am officers, athletes and supporters will be participating in running the torch through Ridgefield and Wilton. Please come out and cheer for us.💙

This Sunday, 5/31/26 will be the annual Ridgefield Triathlon/Duathlon. Be aware that the event will likely create traffic delays in the area of RT. 7, specifically near the intersection of Great Pond/Haviland Rd.

The Main St. parking ban will go into effect on Monday May 25th at 1:00am. Please do not park your vehicle on either side of Main St. between Governor St. and Prospect St. (see the map in red). Parking spaces will be coned off around 1:00am

This is RPD’s 2009 Harley Davidson Electra Glide, operated by Ofc. Julian Pagliuco. He was a Motor Officer for the Washington DC Metro PD prior to coming to the RPD.

Danbury Road (Route 7) near the Danbury town line is closed due to a motor vehicle accident. Southbound traffic from Danbury will be detoured onto Bennetts Farm Road. Northbound traffic is closed at Danbury Road (Rt 35). Please seek alternative routes. Updates to follow.

The Ridgefield PD is currently investigating larcenies from motor vehicles that have occurred during the overnight hours. Many of these cars have been left unlocked. Please always lock your vehicle and remove valuables when you are away from your vehicle.
