Looks like we'll be drugging the deer. Apparently ivermectin laced corn is effective in reducing the lone star tick population. Hopefully this is a good way to combat the spread of alpha gal. @fleccas@RichardRatBoy1 https://t.co/diLcY4OdfW
@emzilla23@homemakinghunny Me too! I had gotten into the habit of wearing classic Crocs everywhere. It made me look a little slobby, but I didn't want to give up the comfort and ease of Crocs, so I switched to their ballet flats. Now I know I'll have to look into their sandals, too.
I was diagnosed last June but these are my most recent alpha gal lab results. I not only have the allergy but I'm Class V (I - V with V being the worst). @fleccas@RichardRatBoy1
@fleccas@RichardRatBoy1 I messaged Fleccas on Instagram. I watched today's episode and I heard him mention a free shirt if you've been diagnosed with alpha gal. If you guys send me a shirt, it will literally be the only positive I've gotten from being diagnosed with it
@GeringerAdam I live on 175 acres in WV. I thought it sounded made up too until I started having mysterious allergic reactions in the middle of the night that culminated in an ER visit with my throat swelling shut. No one even thought to test for it until I insisted. Trust me, it's real.
@AllisonMDstack At out most recent 6 month check up, the doctor asked if the baby was eating solid foods yet. I listed off a bunch of different foods we had all eaten that I had also given the baby. She looked at me and said, but they were mushed up, right? Right?
@RebGoy@bowtiedfarmer You could become allergic to all meat from mammals, depending on the ticks you're pulling off. If you're ok going without steak, burger, chops, etc. then there's not much fuss other than Lyme disease or some other debilitating bacterial tickborne disease π€·
@bowtiedfarmer I find AT LEAST a tick per day EVERY DAY on each of my 2 oldest sons. I have personally contracted alpha gal allergy syndrome from tick bites. One of my dogs got Lyme disease not long ago. The hysteria is real if you are in a tick heavy area.
