Old me would have rescheduled.
Unprofessional. Distraction. Red flag.
New me replied:
“Absolutely. See you tomorrow.”
She showed up with her baby on her hip.
She apologized three times before even sitting down.
Ten minutes in, the baby started crying.
She tried to soothe him while answering questions.
She apologized again.
I stopped the interview and said:
“Hey. You’re managing a fussy baby, answering complex questions, and staying calm under pressure. That’s literally the job. Handling chaos while staying professional. You’re already proving you can do it.”
Her eyes filled with tears.
We hired her.

Semetara kami weekend bergelut dgn chores dan istirahat karena weekdays terlalu sibuk. Disini juga cuma sendiri orang indo, emak2, ngelab tiap hari + masih punya toddler. Belum Abang hari biasa udah mulai byk kegiatan. Kadang suka diajakin juga tapi gakbisa karena terlalu cape
Setahun ini semakin legowo aja kalau suka ketinggalan kumpul ini itu. Pada intinya susah buat bersosialisasi karena jarang yang musti intens ekperimen wetlab. Jam temen-temen indo lain lebih fleksibel dan lebih sering ketemu lah. Weekdays dan Weekend bisa pada outing.
Jarang banget ngepost anak-anak dimanapun, cuma close circle. Walaupun tetep ada di profile IG. Jadi kadang kalau yang baru kenal, kaget dan gak tau kalau sudah beranak dua. Dan akupun kaget kenapa orang gatau. Wkwk
