Cardiologist, political tragic, sporting couch potato

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@UBLfp Complete non-decision to pick Hippy and Allen but play Hipy in defence. Harris all at sea and forced to play on Mackay making other Carlton spuds look like superstars. Midfield and forward half dense woeful. But gave ourselves a sniff in last 5mins

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@FOXFOOTY @kayosports Turn the clock forward 12 months !

How the worm has turned @DOMfay @MichaelWhiting @CarmineV33

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@MichaelWhiting - really keen to understand how players like Lachie and Hippy maintain their aerobic fitness when so limited by lower limb injuries. Was amazed how Lachie run out games in ‘24 despite limited training.

Lions 🦁 training notes from this morning

Coleman likey to miss Rd 0. If he gets up I would expect him to be managed a bit in game. Zorko isn’t going anywhere and will be main Distributor across Hb again.

@MattSull67 @FOXFOOTY @Foxtel @kayosports Surely there’s something strange going on. For such a great wordsmith that was a merely functional thank you and goodbye from Gerard

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@brad_kaefer @DOMfay @MichaelWhiting Remember meeting you at the Royal Derby on GF eve last year Brad. You were super kind and friendly to my family. Hope you get to the Roar Deal podcast this year - looks like I missed out but great to see it so well supported !

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@davidking34 @CarmineV33 @FOXFOOTY @kayosports @DOMfay @DOMfay
Probably best not to add that Kingy segment…though I’m thinking he would probably listen to it. Keep up your nerveless ‘chat’ boys - we’re loving it !

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@CarmineV33 @FOXFOOTY @kayosports @davidking34 @DOMfay we need a whole Kingy segment on the Roar Deal. Robbo has been fighting the good fight all week against Kingy. @CarmineV33 hit a nerve

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@nak_98 @brisbanelions He made up for it

[AFL @AFL]

Happy coach 😁

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@MichaelWhiting @brisbanelions Two years running. Extensive pre-season planning upended in the face of brutal in-season realities. 2023- Cam down back, quickly abandoned. 2024- Dizzy up forward, quickly abandoned.

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@brisbanelions Harris made a big effort to walk towards Lions crowd post game yesterday and was absolutely massive at Fans Day in Brunswick. Put in a bigger effort than any other Lion when surely he felt sapped of all energy. Respect.

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@1116sen @beastieboy07 Thanks for these excellent interviews and great little insights (eg Marnus response to Marsh arrival at crease) Bharat - loving your contribution to cricket coverage

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@thomasjameoneil However such bowlers (now including Cummins) were fodder for English Batsmen feeding off predictability. Given Starc’s superior short format record, it’s not that surprising how he’s fared better

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@thomasjameoneil At start of series with ‘BazBall’ looming, Starc’s inconsistent line and length reputation saw him sidelined in favour of the metronomical Hazelwood/Boland.

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@SupercruiseTom @MichaelWhiting Pretended the question was about having to explain the selection of the sub when the journo was clearly asking why Coleman was left out of run on team. Disingenuous

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@brisbanelions Quite disingenuous in the presser - pretending Coleman question was about who the sub is rather than the obvious meaning - why was Coleman demoted?

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@smcalpine6 You’ve probably my seen it, but if not suspect you’ll enjoy this interview

[Andrew Laird @andrewwlaird]

“Things are worse since the pandemic,” he says. But what is under the surface? Have we — some of us — woken up to the basic questions of who and what really, lastingly matters to us?”

This was pretty special. @nickcave in conversation with Rowan Williams

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@MichaelWhiting Is this the best indication yet ? Part of his response to Punter’s speech post his brilliant 100th test

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@MichaelWhiting Hi Michael, despite his efforts this match and a wonderful career, tours of India and England have not been kind to DW. Go out on top in Sydney ?

[The Sheriff @RiflePete]

@MichaelWhiting Interesting Brownie gave Coleman a pass on defensive running - in the play they showed on Couch it was Coleman’s man who kicked the goal with Coleman trailing well behind - as pointed out by Kane Cornes on https://t.co/I2UcseCGlW
