Following the severe wildfires in northern Portugal, the country requested emergency assistance through the #EUCivilProtection Mechanism.

In response, the EU has mobilised 8 firefighting planes: two each from Spain, Italy, France, and Greece. More ↓

The EU-coordinated flood response mission in France is slowly coming to an end.

Once again, a huge thanks to 🇸🇰🇨🇿🇳🇱 for helping to pump out over 6.5 million m3 of water from the affected areas, equivalent to ∼2,585 Olympic-size swimming pools. 👏
