@chrishartZA Well said Chris. Highly successful and free countries treat crypto with a light touch. Think Singapore, Switzerland and now the US.
This takes me back to the apartheid days when I used to schlep R120 000 a year for family and friends and score a free trip overseas.
Hello ๐. Have you read the draft? Itโs the antithesis of everything you just wrote. I think the intention is clear and nice words will not turn this commie ship around.
And itโs just the beginning. If this passes expect everything to go to shit. Tighter controls, less and less freedom etc. This will be the opening of the sleuth gates.
Take it from a thoroughbred South African. This is malice through and through. While this is the last kick of a dying horse, the ANC remains one of the most corrupt organisations on earth. The governor of the reserve bank is tight with the Davos crew. His strings are being pulled. There is something much bigger going on.
They have literally just upped and doubled the foreign currency allowance from R1 mil to R2mil per annum PP,after 30 years, and in the same breath basically banned Bitcoin. This isnโt about the Rand or foreign currency - they are scared shitless of losing control as their support plummets and the ANC is broke and now that Iran is on its knees the begging bowl is being placed elsewhere.
