Barbell - either invest in the future of productivity (robots / energy infra / etc) or the high-touch human experiences (events / clubs / experiential / travel & tourism)

Both will win in 5 years time - beyond that, who really knows

Levels to the game:

1. Rip & Run: works but short lived. Smash & grab.

2. Frameworks: better than from scratch as you build your skillset. But will almost never hit a grand slam

3. Derivative/Transpose: Modeling what's working in one biz, using it on another in a diff industry. This is where big wins start coming. Your ideas are unique enough to successfully transpose something working, over to your own thing

4. Instinct: At this level someone can tell you their product and you can rattle off monster angles, ideas, and things to test without actually thinking about it. This level is a license to print money. Partner with an operator if you have a thing, or partner with someone who has a thing if you dont, and there is a very good chance you will build something to scale

5. Tapped into the Source: you are no longer in the driver's seat. You become a mere vessel. There are many very successful people who talk about this if you listen carefully. Scott Storch calls it downloading from satellite. Some call it the muse. When you get tapped in and the work flows through you, the only rule is - listen.

Do not ignore the Source or it will stop transmission. Getting lazy, complacent, overconfident or arrogant are all ways to sever the connection. So is forgetting that it is no longer you driving.
