Palestinian Americans w/ Gaza ID's ask why @SecMayorkas & @SecBlinken aren't fighting for their basic right to fly home and visit family as Israel is considered for the Visa Waiver Program. What happened to "blue is blue"? Everyone deserves equal rights. https://t.co/BPu8NL2obC

Israel is currently undergoing a 30-45 trial period to test whether or not they are eligible for admission into the U.S. Visa Waiver Program. Submit any questions you may have at https://t.co/4YXA09bjCp for us to answer during the webinar. @ayahziyadeh @zahahassan

[American Muslims for Palestine @AMPalestine]

Israel is NOT eligible for the Visa Waiver Program due to its decades-long systematic discriminatory entry policies against Palestinian & Arab Americans, Muslims & Americans who support Palestinian rights.

#Thread: The US-Israel #VisaWaiver MOU is an outrage. It is an insult to Arab Americans, including Palestinian Americans, given Israel’s decades of discriminatory entry/exit treatment. #NoWaiver4Israel 1/8

BHRC and @ICJPalestine, with support from @righttoenter, have collaborated on a new report on Israel's recent rules on the entry and residence of foreign nationals in the West Bank. Read the report here:

The US-Israel MOU on the Visa Waiver Program is circulating widely - why isn't State making it officially public (are they trying to hide something)? Here's what I got from 3 different sources (maybe State can let us know if this is final draft?)

[Yousef Munayyer @YousefMunayyer]

The Israeli govt's newly published public guidance to Palestinian American travelers, which is supposed to bring it inline with reciprocity requirements to be eligible for the US Visa Waiver program creates multiple different processes, particularly for Gaza, thus UNEQUAL

[Zaha Hassan زها حسن @zahahassan]

Some clarifications abt the MOU betw the US & #Israel regarding Israel's admission to the US #VisaWaiverProgram: 🧵
1. It is NOT a binding doc't that guarantees Israeli compliance. It wld have to be a treaty for that. Israel's coalition wld not be ok giving rts to Palestinians.

[Yousef Munayyer @YousefMunayyer]

The Gaza exception is a huge problem, but there is a separate system at the outset for US Citizens who are residents of the WB as well. That's 3 different processes 1. USCits living in Gaza, 2. US Cits living in WB. 3 Everyone else.

Separate is Unequal.

The US is “testing” Israel’s treatment of Palestinian-Americans at Israeli-controlled borders this month as part of Israel’s bid to join the US visa waiver program. If you are Palestinian American & have ever been profiled, harassed or denied entry into Palestine, plz DM me!

We are aware of the Memorandum of Understanding between The Government of the State of Israel and the Government of the United States of America On Extension of Reciprocal Privileges and the Visa Waiver Program. We are currently reviewing the document to ensure that it provides for full reciprocity to all American citizens travelling to Israel, and that a blue passport is a blue passport. Anything less than full reciprocity is unacceptable and legitimizes a system which creates different classes of American citizens. A more detailed statement will follow.

1/5: Deciding if Israel will end its long-standing discriminatory practices based on a one-month trial isn't an adequate measure. Data proves how Israel treats Americans trying to enter; admittance into the visa waiver program on this basis would be unfair https://t.co/NXfFOGxpU4
