@CharlieFarnsba9 No. A "uniparty" means supposedly different parties becoming effectively one political establishment. I'm proposing the opposite - genuinely different parties temporarily cooperating on a limited number of shared objectives for one election, then separating and competing again.

@alan_muso Great question. I think it would need a new, neutral banner - an umbrella entity. You could still retain your allegiance to your preferred party, while supporting the overarching alliance, of which your party would be a constituent member.

The UK Right needs more of that mindset - different groups retaining their identity while cooperating.

@rtsrichard I understand the concern, but I'm not proposing that kind of pact. I'm proposing a temporary alliance / coalition for one GE, built around a small number of shared objectives. The parties would retain their identities and could compete independently again afterwards if they wish.

@rtsrichard Yes, the infighting needs to stop and the focus should be on defeating the Left. But with FPTP, simply stopping the attacks doesn't solve the problem of splitting the vote. We need to work together too. If we share key objectives, why not cooperate on them for one election?

It was a failure of leadership & direction, not necessarily every individual within it.
