๐จ Rupert Lowe CONFRONTS Nigel Farage in the House of Commons, and demands ANSWERS:
WHERE am I?
WHO are you?
WHY am I cold?
WHAT is for lunch?
HOW do I get out of this room?
hey britain you know youโre going to die right? your nation will simply end. 1600 years, swept away. all you have to do is put a few people on planes. i know theyโre brown and that makes it hard for you. but to reiterate: you are going to die
This person does not understand that the Gigachad image is used precisely to convey short, simple statements which show powerful & unyielding conviction in an unpopular or silly idea. He wouldn't speak in a long, nuanced, meticulous paragraph and thus the inherent joke is broken
@hengistloves British Summer 2012. Yogscast Tekkit series, London Olympics. vividly remember being in a wheat field on a beautiful evening after Team GB's 'Super Saturday' and discussing w/ frens the developments in Sipsco V Honeydew Inc. rivalry while we tried to light fire with Razer scooter
@jappleby I look best with long hair. Only need maintenance haircuts every 6-8 weeks and if its textured and intentional it doesn't look unkempt or unhygienic. I like certain zoomer short haircuts but they only look good for a week before you have to get it done again.
@i2a2m223@BerbarianWizard Peaters talking about DHT & hair loss is the exact same as leftists on race & IQ/crime. Mental gymnastics to avoid the obvious conclusion they don't want to be true.
Behind all the talk about energy & interconnectedness, many are nothing but hardcore biological materialists.
@yearning_slav You must consciously in waking hours write out your worries, fears, insecurities, the 'negative' qualities of your personality, and then just leave it and do something else (and then be vigilant that this does not become avoidance in itself)
@BigolWave Drinking has honestly helped me to permanently feel better about things that troubled me. Drinking has given me the courage to do things that have genuinely improved my life.
The caveat, as others have said, is that it's an incredibly slippery slope.
The Falklands War was one of the most remarkable military achievements of all times and an extraordinary embodiment of what used to be understood as the British character. Calm under pressure, stubborn courage, quiet professionalism, understatement in the face of danger, and an almost unbelievable tenacity. The entire campaign looked like something out of an earlier century.
British troops landed under relentless air attack while ships around them were being hit and sunk. In places like Ajax Bay, a roofless, rusting shed became a field hospital, where surgeons performed amputations while bombs were falling around them. Soldiers marched seventy miles across freezing mud and sleet carrying full gear. They fought Argentine units dug into ridgelines and hilltops, the most difficult kind of assault imaginable, and in many cases closed the distance with bayonets like something from another age.
And yet once the war was over, it seemed to just totally vanish from the national imagination. No great film was made about it and no lasting cultural memory was built around it. It is almost as if the new Britain became embarrassed by the kind of courage and resolve that the war had required. This transformation is perfectly embodied by Keir Starmer.
When it comes to shadow work, people talk about selfishness, jealousy, violence, etc.. but as usual, miss the other, also important part:
For a depressed, anxious, struggling, etc person with problems - a powerful (and required) part of shadow work is exploring feelings of empowerment, pleasure, hope.. testing those boundaries in the world, even bullying someone, etc.
It's literally diving into & exploring the things you're resisting, avoiding, are seemingly away from, etc. Both inside & outside.
The shadow of a bag of shit is.. a bag of gold - surprise surprise. It's funny how literally EVERYONE skips this part.
