“I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”
Jeremiah 1:6
God repeatedly calls on the unqualified and inexperienced saints to carry out his work. He prefers his disciples to be humbly aware of how incapable they are of doing what they're about to do.
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

There's always a reason for the wait. We may not know that specific reason anytime soon or maybe not even during our time on earth. But the general reason is always the same...He delays to be gracious and merciful to us.
Blessed are those who wait for him - Isaiah 30:18
To be truly relevant -- to regain footing in a world that is becoming less and less religious -- we must begin following the whole Jesus and the whole Scripture the whole time. Otherwise, we die off.
Here’s to a week of needing Jesus, growing in grace, not caring diddly-squat about who gets the credit, repenting quickly, and seeking to love well. All of which will require the gospel.
Perhaps the only good thing about a ruined cathedral is the reminder that the Christ for whom it was built is still pristine and perfect. Humanity lost something today that was priceless. But we didn't lose Him...and we never will.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:13
Born Thy people to deliver,
Born a child and yet a King,
Born to reign in us forever,
Now Thy gracious kingdom bring.
By Thine own eternal Spirit
Rule in all our hearts alone;
By Thine all sufficient merit,
Raise us to Thy glorious throne.

Come, Thou long expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel's strength and consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.
