In California, election day is translated to election MONTH.
This is absolutely criminal that we have to wait until early-mid July to get our finalized results of the primary election.
On the bright side, both @SteveHiltonx and @spencerpratt are on track to advance to the general election this November for their respective races, and Voter ID will also be on the ballot in California this November!
It's time to pass Voter ID as well as the SAVE Act, and let's make election day last one day again in California!
Iowa had a great election last night! Half of our congressional members are receiving a huge upgrade for IA-02 and IA-04 seats, and even though Ashley Hinson was not my top choice to be the next IA US Senator, I believe she will be a huge improvement from Joni Ernst.
The only outcome I was not happy with was IA-01. Mariannette Miller-Meeks not only almost lost her election twice in 2020 and 2024, but she is a huge RINO in Congress alongside Randy Feenstra. I wouldn't be surprised if the seat flips blue as most Trump supporters wouldn't be motivated to reelect her again. I still think IA-03 can do better than Zach Nunn, but he's decent compared to his other colleagues.
As for the IA Governor race, there's so much to unpack that I'll have to make a completely separate post about, but this is by far the biggest election upset I've ever seen in this GOP Primary aside from the RNC spending $100M to protect John Cornyn in his primary election. I am looking forward to supporting @ZachLahn in the general election against Rob Sand this November!
South Dakota had a great night! Dusty Johnson, who is associated with the Main Street GOP Caucus, not only won't be in Congress again next year, but also got eliminated in the first round for the SD Governor GOP Primary Race! Marty Jackley will succeed Dusty Johnson for SD-AL, and he will be a huge upgrade in Congress!
The only result I was disappointed with is the US Senate race with Mike Rounds getting renominated to serve another 6 years. I hate that Trump flip-flopped his stance on him and endorsed him for reelection last year despite saying he will never endorse him again in early 2021. Too bad Justin McNeal wasn't a strong enough candidate to oust him from his seat.
As for the rest of the statewide executive offices, they will be decided at the SD GOP Convention on June 27th. I'm still endorsing Toby Doeden as my top choice for the Governor race, but I'm happy that Larry Rhoden didn't get eliminated the first round and that he put Dusty Johnson in his place.
Montana is also a pretty neutral night. The results for the US Senate and congressional races were expected, but it was a good night for the state senate. Currently, there are 9 state senate RINOs obstructing conservative legislation getting passed.
5/9 of those RINOs were up for reelection, but only 1 of them ran for reelection while the other 4 retired (and those 4 seats are getting an upgrade). The lone RINO who sought reelection for SD-34 is on track to lose her primary race to a genuine conservative candidate.
Otherwise, nothing else to report for Montana. I am absolutely excited for Kurt Alme to succeed Steve Daines as he will be a huge upgrade in the US Senate.
I've seen enough. Toby Doeden and Larry Rhoden will advance to the runoff election for SD Governor, eliminating State Representative Jon Hansen and RINO Congressman Dusty Johnson from the GOP Primary Election
New Mexico had a pretty good night tonight. The theme of their primary elections was redemption. They had 3 races where they didn't have a GOP candidate officially file to run for office, and all 3 candidates who ran write-in campaigns received more than 2,351 votes to have their names appear on the ballot for the general election this November, restoring the NM GOP voice.
As of the rest of the races, almost every strongest candidate won their GOP Primary Election (NM-01 is the exception because wtf is even their name?!?!).
The only question that remains is will the GOP candidates who received enough write-in votes have a strong campaign heading into the general election, or will they massively underperform? Regardless, there is still hope for the NM GOP in a state where Kamala won by 6 points in 2024.
New Jersey was a pretty neutral night in that state. A good amount of good candidates won their primary races unopposed, and the best candidate, in my opinion, won the GOP Primary race.
The only thing that disappointed me that night is our RINO incumbents didn't face any serious challengers this year (specifically NJ-02, NJ-04, and NJ-07), and they got a free pass for another 2 years.
Otherwise, congratulations to @JerseyJustinUSA for his primary win for the NJ US Senate, and let's help him defeat Cory Booker this November! Let's show everyone we can still shift New Jersey towards the right!
I've seen enough. Zach Lahn defeats Randy Feenstra for the GOP Nomination for the Iowa Governor race, and he will face off Rob Sand in the general election this November!
Trump's perfect endorsement record for Governors has been broken tonight
๐จ POLLS HAVE CLOSED IN CALIFORNIA ๐จ
Don't let us down, Los Angeles, and don't let us get locked out of the CA Governor race this November!
Let's finish this night strong!!
IA-01 hasn't learned anything from 2020 and 2024. Not only has Mariannette Miller-Meeks been an electoral liability as a non-scandalous candidate, but she also has a mediocre voting record over the past years as well as not initially supporting Trump in the 2024 primary election.
If this seat flips blue this year, this is their punishment for not learning from their mistakes of outprimarying her from IA-01
Almost 60% of the votes reported in the IA Governor race, and it's looking good for Zach Lahn. He might be the first candidate to defeat a trump-endorsed candidate in the Governor race, and I am all for it.
Don't let RINO Randy Feenstra win!!
