1/ 🚀 In today’s DeFi market, users are getting rugged more than ever through bad quotes.
Security is essential at every layer.
That’s why we just shipped Swap Shield on https://t.co/ppb6sWC9Kf — oracle-protected swaps.🛡️
We took the logic of an aggregator and smushed it into a Uniswap v4 hook
Now we can route to external liquidity sources with our standard hook routing infra, while still burning UNI
With this integrated (+UniswapX), Uniswap api and apps are far and away the best aggregators on the market
Zero margin added to native Uniswap liquidity, by far largest source of onchain liquidity
Just a couple basis points of UNI protocol fees for any routes to external sources
Lighter EVM devnet is live! An EVM-equivalent rollup built in collaboration with @axiom_xyz, powered by OpenVM. It runs alongside Lighter Core, and the two are designed to settle jointly to Ethereum with a single ZK proof 🧵
we are asking @CoinMarketCap request 1463584 to update ethereum:0x4fbb350052bca5417566f188eb2ebce5b19bc964 bridged token addresses:
- add new hyperEvm bridged GRG at address 0x78118293A39B6338bfC2e68fb54ef8282938D56d
- update Bnb chain bridged GRG from deprecated Multichain address to the new 0x1616c66A78b5802e290247b714D8B22b440Dc343 bridged token
- add Unichain bridged GRG 0x03C2868c6D7fD27575426f395EE081498B1120dd (this is the canonical bridged GRG on unichain but not updated on CoinMarketCap before)
All addresses are reflected in the official documentation https://t.co/UG7zzs4uyU
In the world approx. 1 in 20 people owns crypto. This means if you don’t own crypto but want to, there’s well above 99% probability (assuming you have a circle of at least 100 people) that a firend or a griend of a friend is a crypto holder.
This means crypto penetration in society is total, and Satoshi’s vision has changed the world already.
DeFi still has a long way to go, its penetration is much lower, but it is inevitable.
They say the $ETH roadmap is too complex, so allow me to de-nerd it:
The Merge: Don't kill Ethereum because AI is eating all the GPUs and mining is an issue, so now people stake it; it's good for the planet and efficient.
The surge: Shit is fast, you don't need the "new solana" or the "new L2" because shit is fast.
The scoorge: (Actually I think weakest part of the roadmap)
The Vercel: Shit is light, wow you have a full node on your mac mini sitting next to your ai agent much wow very decentralized.
The Purge: Weird nerd shit from a decade ago is getting cleaned up because the guy that wrote the yellow paper was high on LSD.
The Splurge:
Blockchain UX is amazing, one click to use protocols, all the benefits of nerd smartcontrats but native; shit is secure and simple. My wallet has a passkey with my Face ID on my iPhone, and it's as secure as Ledger that leak my data. I love blockchain wow
Hope that was useful
@Lighter_xyz just listed $US10Y - with fixed income getting price information from DeFi, crypto is simply a different distribution gateway - but better, faster, cheaper - by orders of magnitude. Just use crypto.
Bitcoiners deserve a lot of credit for pioneering many of these ideas (see Utreexo).
But yes, this is what the current proposed Ethereum scaling strategy looks like in action.
We want Ethereum to have the best of UTXO-style state, dynamic state, and everything in between, allowing the great majority of Ethereum's activity to be hyperscaled without sacrifice to decentralization, ease of node running and censorship resistance.

People are making two compounding mistakes when evaluating DeFi apps right now:
1) Market Size: People think they are targeting the $2 trillion crypto market when they are actually targeting the $500 trillion asset market.
2) Value Capture: People think they have maximized fee generation when they are actually just scratching the surface.
These things -- Hyperliquid, Uniswap, Aave, Morpho, Aerodrome, Lighter, Pump, and more -- have bigger TAMs and more pricing power than people believe.
