The driver who hit and killed 9 yo Andres Martinez was located last night in Bowling Green. Special thanks to the @hcsheriff Hardee County Sheriff's Office and Bowling Green Police Department for the assistance. 45 yo Gilbert Almaguer was taken into custody at his home and booked into the Hardee County Jail. He has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death, a first degree felony. He will be transferred to the Polk County Jail at a later date. We do not yet have a mugshot for him.
