All service AI’s are cutting down on consumer compute and reserving it for enterprise / API use. This is either cause they advanced AI without making it efficient and this is the backstop, or they see that the average user doesn’t use up their whole quota and it’s a way to make more money.

This has always been the stance for AI artists. It’s never been about replacing the status quo, it’s just filling gap that the attention seeking artists refuse to fill. It upsets them because they no longer have the moral monopoly on creation. If it was just about how bad it looks, they wouldn’t be worried about it stealing or being a replacement.

If you think about it, the strong people that the UK had which ruled a global empire all did it from outside the country. Some settled in America. Years later they went on to fight world wars. A large portion of their strong left, leaving the weak behind to rule. When the strong returned, they were outnumbered.

The only hope right now is the strong that still remain can get the job done and fix their country.
