During a recent @FlySafair flight, my luggage got broken into. Upon reporting it to the airline, their response was simply "tough luck". It's a third party handling the luggage, which completely exempts the airline from any responsibility. Utterly disgusted in their response.
@Sayed7861@FlySafair Spot on Sayed. According to the CPA, the fact that a 3rd party handles the luggage doesn't absolve Safair from responsibility. By purchasing a ticket, you enter a contractual agreement with @FlySafair, NOT the 3rd party, and they should take care of the luggage. /1
@FlySafair@FlySafair I am also not sure that the issue would be invested further. According to the customer service agent the outcome was already accessed and rejected. /2
@FlySafair@FlySafair though the contents have been tampered with (packages of gifts torn open etc.) nothing is seemingly missing. However, since the suitcase was damaged, I tried claiming for the case, which is apparently against the Ts&Cs. /1
@FlySafair, how is it that I can literally fly return to Austria for less than it costs to fly 2 people return between Cape Town and Johannesburg? #Safairmustfall
@ASZulu I'm not going to read all of the comments, but what a healthy approach to accommodating different cultures and beliefs. Respect to you and your ancestors, Ayanda. Hope you had a wonderful public holiday.
@Copter_roflez Borrow one of the rings she rarely wears but fits, or wait until she removes one of her rings and measure it's size with a piece of string.
