In the 1980s, archaeologists uncovered a remarkable Neolithic wooden road near Nieuw-Dordrecht in the Netherlands ๐ณ๐ฑ
This ancient peat road, dating back an impressive 4,573 years, stretches for at least 800 meters. Through the meticulous science of dendrochronology, or tree-ring dating, experts have pinpointed its construction to 2,549 BC.
This discovery not only highlights the advanced engineering skills of Neolithic communities but also offers invaluable insights into their transportation and trade practices. The road's preservation in the peat bogs has allowed for a rare glimpse into the sophisticated infrastructure of prehistoric Europe.

@realDonaldTrump So Does that mean you are going to unseal top secret files on the 550 foot black pyramid found in Alska during the China experiment of an underground explosion in 1992? Or do you even have clearance for that?

In 2018, Somerset Archaeological Team excavated a Roman-era lead coffin when, not far from coffin, Jason Massey (an amateur treasure hunter) with the help of his metal detector, came across this gold-sided onyx intaglio seal ring (200-300 AD); in a field near Crewkerne in Somerset, England.
This Roman Gold Signet Ring; engraved with the goddess of victory (goddess Nike). It is believed to have been ring of a Roman legionary commander. This was inferred from depiction of goddess of victory engraved in stone on a chariot.
The find is being hailed as very important and one of the most significant finds from the Roman-era in the area in recent years. This discovery has kindled a new excitement regarding the importance of the location where it was discovered and illustrates once again the significant role amateur archaeologists play in unearthing the past.
