Spotlight on @RileyChow, a writer onboard the #GlobalMercy and a native of British Columbia, who discovered Mercy Ships after watching a special on #60minutes. ⏱️
It has been a valuable commitment that has allowed him to grow both professionally and humanly! ❤️

Fan fave #CaitrionaBalfe missed out on an #Oscar nom - might’ve been due to category confusion by voters (who are free to nominate actors as either lead or supporting). Balfe likely scored votes in both, diluting chances at scoring coveted first Oscar nom: https://t.co/DD2I9INjNQ
Join me and my colleagues @charlesbright, @rileychow and Tony Ruiz to vent about what we are delighted to see included in #Oscars class of 2022 & some of those head-scratching & shocks.

@LucaLeonardo99 Like ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, it was too unnecessarily long to go the distance in editing, but I still expected it to hit the precursors. The cinematography snubs also surprised me, given that ‘Bridge of Spies’ hit both ASC and BAFTA.
@ETKevinsMind@TVTalkWithJWalk I cannot take them seriously when they have eighteen nominees for Best Drama Series or thirteen for Comedy Supporting Actor.
@AKlay19 Can we low-key count Jessica Chastain? Her feature debut was theatrically released in October 2010. She then starred in multiple Best Picture nominees in 2011 that had cast her before anyone had seen her in much of anything really.

… Thank you @rileychow Always great talking to you. 🙏🏾💙 https://t.co/nJ9MdhlY5x
@IMS1985@theBurk3nator@GoldDerby @expert_oscar Perhaps most indefensible was needlessly bucking the actress-presenting-to-actor tradition. Joaquin Phoenix was never going to handle any kind of ceremony-ending presentation as well as Renée Zellweger would have.
@LucaLeonardo99 Glad that you have kept the faith after you warned that you might not and thank goodness you switched away from ‘The Letter Room’—you might get a perfect score yet.
The real villain of this awards season is @rileychow, and if you wanna know why, watch this video until the very end. Pure evil. 😂😂 #Oscars

@LucaLeonardo99 The statistic exists and is a valid prognostication tool as such, but it should be broken to rectify how it never should have become one in the first place. Something can be less than the sum of its parts, plus not every category should just be some pseudo-Best Picture race.
@sappymukh @GoldDerby 'Kim's Convenience' does not have an American co-producer, so it is eligible instead at the International Emmys. ('Black Mirror' won there before Netflix took it over, moving it to the Primetime Emmys.)
