@GeertBaeke @fateswarning86 @nixcraft Even if you can turn it off, it's still MS baiting us into giving them an inch they can turn into a hundred miles. It's a slow, complacent death man.
@GeertBaeke @fateswarning86 @nixcraft The problem is that it's a very tasty jewel that's gonna attract some very grabby hands. Even if the intruder can't access your files or your screen data, they could put someone's hi-security job at risk by simply flicking a random setting on.
Enough to be a hard no from me.
@GeertBaeke @fateswarning86 @nixcraft This is somewhat of a false scapegoat. "Well if it's bad, it's fucked anyways" doesn't really address the fact that this is a huge attack surface, meaning things could get fucked a whole lot faster.
@JaviSkau There's no such thing as "cheating" as an artist. As long as you're ethical in your workflow and (not claiming AI as your own work, not breaking any competition rules, etc.) then do whatever the fuck you want. This isn't programming - you do whatever the hell it takes.
@Kiwi_Dox The couple times we've bumped into eachother in Resonite were very fun. ^^
Loved helping you and your friends get set up properly and chilling in a gridspace like a bunch of geeks
@Akamaru1838@TahvoVR@Legacy_nights There are plenty of friendly faces around, plus we've got a pretty responsive mod team if you have any questions or concerns about the game or other players.
My face in particular is brown and freckly. :3
@BenjaminMDAFr@TahvoVR Resonite is a different type of VR platform centered around collaborative creativity. In reality, it's kind of whatever you want. Most everything is synced in real time, you can edit the world in-game, import avatars, music, pictures, videos, etc. It's fun!
@Kaideart @GalileoGB A long-standing project like blender likely has the problem of inevitably gaining tech debt. Some of that tech debt comes in the form of features that people used for convenience. It'll be an annoying interrim, but blender will be far more flexible for it in the long-run.
@PicturesFoIder Cool, but unfortunately not all that practical. A thief with a goal is gonna look in the outlet as one of the first places to hide something variable. Normal ones you could potentially design to not be obvious even when opened. This is a big "Steal me!" sign when revealed.
@Benaclejames@ProbablePrime @alexDerpydashie @Frooxius@ResoniteApp This is specifically me adding SteamLink support by the way. Support for any thing that gives face data is trivial. This is why we don't need external tools to fix this problem. It just hasn't been done yet because there are big fish to fry.
@Benaclejames@ProbablePrime @alexDerpydashie @Frooxius@ResoniteApp You can see how I interface with the standardized "Eyes" and "Mouth" classes that Resonite provides here (my own mod):
https://t.co/ksMoRHI7xj
While yes this implementation does use OSC, the way Resonite presents these interfaces makes it trivial to add a new native solution.
