Had a great lesson with Coach Matt before heading back out to Missouri to practice with my teammates.

Thank you Coach John. I truly feel honored that you value my opinion and have the trust to be able to allow me to give my input to help your athletes understand the swing.

[John Sangillo @SangilloJohn]

For years, I never considered help with my lessons. Then came Riley.

She trains with Brad Kessler at ROI Fastpitch. Tonight, she led 10U Addie through her first lesson rotation, the throw, then the swing.

Watching my new intern teach and give back was special. Proud of you, @RileyLaing30 .

Working on my low ball swing and was able to get the machine going on some drop ball work. Thank you Coach John on putting time in with me this week and helping me on bettering myself with my low ball swing!!!

Thank you, @ExtraInningSB!
I'm honored to be ranked the #1 infielder in the Midwest Region for the Class of 2030 and incredibly grateful to receive a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-star rating! Got to go out to Missouri for a week and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be apart of the R.O.I. team/family. Being able to put in a lot of work with Coach Brad and teammates while also making memories and having lots of laughs. Can’t wait for the next time and looking forward to hitting the field at our first tournament: Team NJ Indy Fall Showcase in Greenwood, IN.

Another great lesson with Coach John working on the angle of hitting the ball off the tee and hitting off the machine working riseballs. Grateful for Coach John continuing to help me to grow.

[John Sangillo @SangilloJohn]

I see too many kids working off a tee with absolutely no purpose. How are you supposed to become great without purpose and without first owning the down to find the proper up?

A ball sitting still on a tee gives an athlete no excuses. If you expect to play at a high level, you should first understand how to stay inside the ball in every direction we work outside, middle, and inside.

You should know what happens when you contact the top third of the ball, the middle third, or the bottom third and how each contact point changes the flight of the ball.

If you cannot control a ball that is not moving, how can you expect consistent success against a pitch with speed, movement, and spin?

@RileyLaing29 has done a very good job learning to control the ball and understand her contact positions. In less than a year, she has grown exponentially. The girl wants it.

[Riley Laing @RileyLaing30]

Thank you so much Coach John for believing in me from the very start. I have only worked with you for a short time and I am already seeing the big results that you believed I could achieve. Thank you for taking me out to Missouri, it changed and going to change my life completely with the love of this sport and the confidence I am going to continue to gain. I am super excited to continue my growth. 🥎🥎💥❤️❤️

This young lady @RileyLaing29 holds a special place in my heart. When she first came to me less than a year ago, she was struggling to figure out where she belonged. But one thing was obvious from day one she absolutely loves this game, and you could see the desire and determination to get better.

I took her and her family out to the @ROIFASTPITCH Development Farm to work with Coach Brad alongside @GabriyellaK so she could experience what true development looks like. She caught the bug immediately.

She just returned from spending an entire week at the Farm, training alongside some of the very best Midwest talent in the country. Over the last two weeks, she and her family have had to make some big girl decisions, and she has now joined Coach Brad’s 16U team.

This young lady has dreams, and she refuses to let anyone sell those dreams short especially with all the conmen and empty promises that have become so prevalent in travel sports.

Proud of you, young lady. Keep believing, keep working, and keep surrounding yourself with people who truly care about your development.

You’re just starting to grow.
