This #ELFridays, we're spotlighting @NatashaSeaton2, part of a team behind a new scale that helps distinguish psychological distress due to of mental health conditions vs. from chronic medical conditions. Be sure to check it out. Important work! 👏
#ELFridays We loved getting to see so many familiar and new faces at our #SBSM2025 trainee events from the Roundtable to the Trainee Social Hour! Trainees, did you attend #SBSM2025 in Seattle, USA? Sound off in the replies with your favorite conference memory!

@connectSBSM Love the tips on this post! If I can remember to take my coffee outside in the morning & have 10 mins out there, that’s a lovely start to the day for me! 😊
Trainees, have you registered for the @connectSBSM 2025 annual meeting yet? Here's your #ELFridays reminder that registration is open now with early bird pricing before February 21st. Click the link below for more information: https://t.co/NKZkBEhXi0
@connectSBSM I wanted to learn geo coding methods for adding an assessment of crime risk to my dissertation dataset. Shout out to @uazlibraries for having ArcGIS access and available staff support resources that made that goal happen! 🤓
@connectSBSM In terms of graduate school interviews, I’d recommend preparing to ask advisors about upcoming directions for their work! Online records of recent pubs & grants often reflect a ~2 year lag (at least) from where someone’s current work is focused 😅
Here is a special #ELFridays highlight: Emerging Leaders alum @ryanlinnbrown is recruiting a graduate student to join her lab! See below for this excellent training opportunity in stress, aging, & relationships
@connectSBSM Woohoo, I’m hanging out over on the @connectSBSM page today! For today’s takeover, we cooked up some content about application & interview season 👩🍳
Dominique Simms, clinical graduate student and in my lab, is leading a study about #grief in the Black community, which is sorely understudied.
I’m hoping you will to fill it out and/or pass it along to people in your network with your endorsement!
The abstract submission portal for the SBSM 2025 meeting is now open! This year's theme is "Biopsychosocial Science and the Future of Health and Well-Being Across the Lifespan". Abstracts due Sept. 16 - submit soon! https://t.co/7YBD3dc82W
Really enjoyed time in Seattle at my first @APA annual meeting!! Loved getting to meet new faces in @APADivision38 & see old friends from undergrad psych at Bama! Plus catching a mariner’s game with @JohnMRuiz4 was pretty cool 😎
