@BigAllllll5 Fact: Logan Groh led JCCC in total hits this season. Tied Bradford for RBI lead (Groh even had 17 less homers, showing he can produce with runners on). Higher AVG than both. Fewest strikeouts of the trio, too. Best pure hitter on their team.
Johnson County CC went 67-3 and won the JUCO World Series.
Their best starting pitcher (Ashton Nance), best relief pitcher (Keston Holman) and best hitter (Logan Groh) are all committed to Nebraska.
That'll play.
Logan Groh - I suspect will play left side of the infield - led JUCO in total hits, 2nd in RBI, hit 25 home runs (our team leader had 15 this year for comparison) and had just 29 strikeouts in 306 plate appearances. Played 3B in JUCO, SS in HS. We have a need at both spots, he should take one of them.
@Tusha311 Yeah, Iβm assuming we are all over that. Conference Rookie of the Year. National Two Way Player of the Week. Drew a ton of walks with a power bat. Three years of eligibility left. Would be a great DH for us.
@iJordanMoore What Omaha (businesses) needs:
WVU
UNC
Ole Miss
Kansas
Alabama
Texas
Mississippi State
Little Rock/Troy doesnβt matter - Omaha is always due for one underdog the fans can pull for
Army star Josiah Overbeek has entered the portal. Huge addition. He led all freshmen in OPS and was tied for the freshman lead in homers (17). Strong lefty swing who controls the zone and mashes to the pullside. Can border on passive but serious tools.
.@HuskerBaseball vs. Ole Miss.
Rebels burned their 1st Team All-SEC closer tonight. Theyβre likely starting Cade Townsend:
β’ Leads Rebs starters in ERA & opp. avg
β’ One of 25 Golden Spikes semifinalists
β’ 27th ranked MLB Draft prospect
β’ 2nd Team All-SEC

This is the smartest move possible. Give Ty Horn the start on Saturday night against Ole Miss / Arizona State - he will feed off that crowd better than Jasa will.
Then youβve got Blachowicz & Katskee to win once in two tries.
The most important game is the first one.
@HrbekJonah Thereβs a world in which we get to Sunday with a 2-0 record and cover 14-16 of our 18 innings with Jasa and Horn. Canβt get ahead of ourselves of course, but fans questioning the Jasa on Friday decision should sit this one out
@HrbekJonah The greatest game of Tyβs career was 8 shutout innings in the Big Ten title game vs. UCLA last year - he thrives in those moments
So if you donβt go Jasa Friday, youβre saving Jasa for Sunday which would be stupid to do when considering Super Regionals
Jasa Friday is the move
