Hello @TeamYouTube
I am requesting assistance with the recovery of my original personal YouTube channel, @neelajolene, Channel ID UC1G_AMEAGJgYN8rqPhhgMvg. My channel has nearly 1 million subscribers, it was monetized, and I was actively getting paid. It was not a brand account. My channel disappeared completely without my authorization on 09/21/2026. I did not request its deletion, and I did not receive any notification that it was being deleted.
I was told that YouTube's investigation does not identify this as fraud (case #9-7682000042314), however I believe the channel deletion was initiated by an unauthorized individual using an existing authenticated session, rather than through a conventional suspicious login. I believe this because at approximately the same time, my family's financial accounts were compromised and unauthorized Zelle transfers totaling $15K occurred. The computer was scanned and detected malware. This is why I believe that someone obtained unauthorized access to my Google login information as well as our bank login information.
We have since taken extensive steps to secure the bank accounts, our google accounts, and the computer. With the help of a computer expert, we wiped the computer clean with a clean windows installation, we changed all passwords, we turned on enhanced safe browsing in Google chrome, we are using a passkey for 2 step verification, and we removed unrecognized devices and passkeys.
The evidence I have of this is a police report, and screen shots from the computer scan showing Hercales Trojan invasions (the logs also show some unusual events just before the Hercales detection and several Microsoft Defender security-intelligence update errors.) I also found that my google email had been altered to add a filter so that my emails went to the trash folder, which explains why I did not receive any email notifications of the fraudulent activities. I also have the USBank fraud case as evidence.
Please help me to restore my channel. This channel represented two years of work, nearly one million subscribers, and an established source of income. I am requesting that this matter be directed to the team responsible for hacked-channel recovery. I am also requesting that the original channel data not be purged so that I can recover it fully.
I believe someone gained access to an already-authenticated session and deleted my channel. Google's own documentation recognizes that malware can be involved in channel compromises.
Sincerely,
Neela Jolene
my product works. people who try it like it.
the problem was never the product — nobody's selling it.
gave Explee the link. it found the buyers and emailed them for me.
turns out the fix was just doing the selling.

What’s the biggest cyber threat facing organisations right now?
And how much is your answer influenced by the attacks you’ve heard about most recently?
Availability heuristic can make memorable threats feel more likely, which matters when we’re deciding where to focus attention and resources.
Stories help us communicate risk, but evidence should help us prioritise it.
