This article relays the mental health benefits of participating in sports and I couldn’t agree more sports have drastically improved my mental heath personally throughout the years.

Very good article that# talks about the mistreatment of homosexuals in sports something covered earlier in the semester.
@michaelpalmari3@KIN110UofR I think the environmental impact of building more Sporting facilities is inevitable however more can be done do reduce it. Sporting facilities should be ran more on renewable energy such as solar panels on top of the stadiums
@KIN110UofR the government has a major impact on what sports we can participate in. This was especially evident for the shooting foundation of Canada after the Canadian government banned many recreational weapons on May 1,2020.Banning some of their target shooting competitions
@LubyTyson@KIN110UofR@ganjapreneur I don’t agree with this. The article says they will no longer drug test for any recreational drugs however recreational drugs can include stimulants which can be performance enhancing
@jola94050499 @KIN110UofR Another way you could reduce your environment impact from participating in sports is supporting sports companies that care about it as well such as The North Face for outdoor sports which provides lifetime warranty for their clothing to minimize the amount of product in landfills

Older video but it highlights the unequal opportunities provided to women and people of non white ethnicity’s. The video explores the unfair reality of white privilege

Very good video to watch skate boarding company uses recycled skateboards to make new ones. This reduces the environment impact of making new boards from scratch. Such as cutting down trees.
@KIN110UofR Skydiving has a severe impact on the environment. In order to skydive you need to use a plane which burns harmful fossil fuels such as carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. In turn causing climate change.
@HeatherFoy16@KIN110UofR I don’t agree. Making gyms free is very expensive and would cost the government and tax payers massive amounts of money to make and maintain without any revenue from gym membership It would seemingly be unfeasible in the short term which is seemingly the governments priority.
@artem_gololobov@KIN110UofR I think it is a good thing that professional athletes run for political powers and write books. Having fans bring people together and create a voice making it easier to make necessary change in the world.
@KIN110UofR https://t.co/2A0UyTsSiK Very good article to read. Bayne Pettinger’s an NHL agent who is getting lots of support from the hockey community for coming out as a homosexual. This is amazing because hockey is seemingly a very hyper masculine sport.
@Blavallee91 @KIN110UofR Very sad to see that a man with a bright future in the nhl has lost his opportunity however I believe his punishment is fair. As a university and professional athlete it is your role to be inspiring for young people and act as a leader. Mitchell’s actions didn’t represent this.
@Blavallee91 @KIN110UofR I personally think he is in the wrong he put his entire team at risk For getting the virus However I can understand why he did it winning the World Series is a huge accomplishment one many never get so missing such an achievement would be very hard to stop yourself.
@TyColibaba@KIN110UofR could this possibly be an example of hazing? In the article they said that earlier in the day the same individuals were fighting with helmets when I played hockey the youngest players needed to cage rage (fight with helmets on)the oldest players as an initiation.
@KIN110UofR Please retweet! Involves two teammates fighting in the locker room, while others encourage them. One of the kids has a seizure, but is able to attain consciousness. #violence https://t.co/hGZvsDNQgJ
@KIN110UofR An example of #maleathletviolence was in 2006 when Albert Haynesworth stomped on the head of cowboys center Andre Gironde which lead Hatnesworth to pay around $190,000 in nfl league fines through suspension .
@KIN110UofR An example of a possible affects of using performance enhancing drugs is getting your championship and placing titles revoked. for Lance Armstrong a cyclist using performance enhancing drugs caused his bronze medal for the 2000 summer olympics to be nullified.
@Blavallee91 @KIN110UofR I personally believe that a season is worth having it will give the players the ability to be physically active with less risk of injuries allowing them to sharpen up skills making them better hockey players.
