Google have introduced the Tag Diagnostics tool that you can use to find and fix issues with your website's tags.

You can locate the Tag Diagnostics tool in the Google tag sections of both Google Ads and Google Analytics, and through Google Tag Manager.

This feature is being rolled out gradually and may not be available everywhere.

If this feature is available to you utilize it to make sure you leave no lose ends when installing your google tag.

The most common mistake I see with Google Ads is directing all traffic to the main website.

This is a rookie mistake.

you need to have all ad traffic go to a dedicated landing page for the campaign.

You can always include a link to your main website if need be.

Doing this allows for more accurate tracking because all traffic will be purely from the campaign, allowing you to adjust based on performance.

It also means you can tailor the landing page specifically to the ad, making it more relevant and compelling for visitors.

With a dedicated landing page, you can also optimize it based on the keywords and messaging in your ad.
