In JFK airport, @Delta was illegally facially scanning people boarding the plane. No sign warning that this was optional. When I objected that this was illegal, staff told me that FAA required it ‘for international travel’. This was a falsehood it seems though, since while ads and signage did deceptively push facial scans at US entry and exit to Toronto, all officials readily accepted my request to bypass biometrics. NOT obligatory. Tell @Delta illegal biometric harvesting is NOT OK.
