Ahead of tonight’s kick off we will be holding a minutes applause to celebrate the life of Lynn Kirtley, mother to forward Rio Joisce who sadly passed away last week. 💙

Lynn was a permanent fixture at Blue Star home and away games, cheering on Rio and the lads from the sideline. We know just how proud she was of Rio, and the wonderful young man he is.

Everyone at Newcastle Blue Star has Rio and his family in our thoughts, and will be supporting them in any way we possibly can.

A huge 90min awaits the lads tomorrow, as we travel to Phoenix Park to take on Boro Rangers in the first play-off semi final. 🤝

Our two previous encounters against the TS4 based side have both been thrillers, a 3-3 draw down Teeside in October, and a 2-1 win for the Star last month at home, in a game that saw 3 red cards. 😳
