If Black people learn ANYTHING from this Karmelo Anthony situation is that affluence won’t save your Black child from these people…and YES I’m talking to every Black parent in New Orleans sending their children to predominantly white catholic high schools.
with juneteenth upon us, i know it’s a time for celebration but we need to address the amount of black children and women being reported missing and/or killed
Black kids are getting lynched in the usa and nobody fucking cares, this is horrifying, if this was happening to white kids these people wouldve been found already.
Daniel Nwaekwe just leveled all the way up.
This king finished #3 in his class at McKinney High School, dripping in honors (yellow stole, cords, sashes, medals) as he celebrates getting Princeton bound (accepted into THREE Ivies)!!!
He earned AP Scholar with Distinction, National Merit Commended, 17 AP classes, Black Student Union President, Mr. MHS, Distinguished Student Award, and building his own business (Starstruck World LLC) as a producer & audio engineer.
From the nonstop grind to the Ivy League stage… this is Black excellence in full motion.
Let’s gooooo, Daniel! The world is yours, king! 👏🏽🔥
“I’d go to a restaurant and they’d point at me & say that ni**er can’t eat here. We’d go to a hotel & they’d say that ni**er can’t sleep here.”
Listen to Reggie Jackson—& remember that 30+ states have or are trying to criminalize teaching this history.
why the actual fuck have i heard nothing about this?!!?! this is so horrific and evil. he was only 18 years old, just starting out in life. THIS NEEDS TO BE EVERYWHERE.
A historic Black cemetery in Palmetto, Florida, was vandalized, with graves damaged and “Trump” and “DeSantis” spray-painted across tombstones. Our ancestors deserve dignity in life and in death. Desecrating sacred burial grounds is hateful, painful, and unacceptable. We must protect Black history and honor the families impacted by this cruelty.
🚨 HOW HORRIBLE:
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had a Black Democratic state lawmaker arrested after a 5-hour sit-in at his office.
Then he amplified a post calling her “ghetto.”
State Rep. Angie Nixon, a Jacksonville Democrat now running for U.S. Senate, sat outside DeSantis’s office for five hours Friday. She wanted to speak with someone in the governor’s office about affordability and the new congressional map.
The Capitol Police arrested her on a trespassing charge. Press were ordered out of the building. Two of her supporters were arrested with her.
DeSantis then went on social media. He retweeted a post from an allied account that called Nixon a “ghetto rep.” He added his own caption.
“FAFO.”
This is the same governor who in his 2018 campaign warned voters not to “monkey it up” by electing his Black opponent.
The map Nixon was protesting — passed in a special session two weeks ago — adds four GOP-leaning seats heading into November.
When you knock on power’s door with documented evidence, power doesn’t debate you. It demeans you. Then it arrests you.
Mind you, when it was convenient yall was saying lame ass shit like “I am not my elders and ancestors.” Like they were ever weak. Just for them to show up and do more than us in their seasoned years while we tweet.
