@Dame_Time1023 It’s a shame how fans have soured on him. He stepped up huge when we had zero Point Guards on the roster. Jrue was super rusty when he returned too and by the time he got healthy, Sharpe got hurt.
He played more minutes with Kris/Sidy/Love than Jrue/Rob/Scoot.
@TiWindisch Yeah we should celebrate PHX who built up a solid team without tanking. Instead of saying “Trade Booker cause they won’t win a ring” celebrate them for trying.
NFL teams go for it every year because every win is fun even if they don’t have SB chances. NBA only cares for the top
@joelvmoran The worst teams already have the best odds to win the lottery. If the Jazz and Nets get a top 3 pick and draft a bust, then what?? Just keep losing as hard as possible until you finally get a blue chip? Nothing else matters until that point? Makes for an unserious league brooo
@ShamsCharania 1) Is NOT BAD
Bottom 10 teams don’t have to out-tank each other as they all have equal odds…but the lottery pool will have more mid teams added in that can all potentially be awarded for competing.
Give some upside to teams that are trying to win + Less incentive to out-lose
@HPbasketball THANK YOU!!!
Once teams started shutting down GOOD players so they can add them to a top draft pick, things needed to change.
There are enough avenues to be competitive imo. Maybe not to win a chip but tanking wasn’t the true answer to that either. Make every team compete
@CHold Imagine during the Dame/CJ years if we got rewarded for trying to compete every year with a good draft pick to go with out playoff streak!!!!!
I think it’s cool if non contender teams can be rewarded with decent picks (7th-10th) for trying to compete and not just tanking
@JakeAndBall Look at the draft this year. You think teams still wouldn’t lose as hard as possible to maximize their chances for the guys projected outside the top 3?
Teams would rather lose hard to end up with the best possible pick 1-3 or 3-8
Answer can’t be “lose better to win more”
@ash4nd1021 He’s the new Tatum, both great but we have seen them before. The rest are generational anomalies, Luka is like Harden but has a Lakers boost.
SGA gets away with it because his team is so dominant
@ToreyJonesYT Guess depends on who else is willing to move down and who Nets are targeting. Perhaps they trust Jordi to fix Grant value too for an another flip down the line
@MarzTalksSports You don’t think there’s additional context from being around during the moment in real time watching the season - that individual games wouldn’t offer?
@DannyMarang@JackedRamsays@BrandonSprague Why do we hear about needing vets to NOT be HOU/DET but OKC/ORL are doing fine without any pretty much? Chet/Cason/JDub/Giddey/Banchero/Wagner/Suggs/
Anthony are doing fine without needing their hands held? Why aren't those two teams the model? Aside from SGA being MVP level lol
@shaesharpeshow From Day-1 the entire media crew tried to get Ayton to stir up some drama with the Phoenix stuff. Since then, Ayton hasn't been great with interviews and now hit pieces on his character coming out. Sad to see
@JCigan@dloitz @jaron_ab @jwquick Yeah, the Ayton stuff was pretty rough. I mean he only played 34 games this year and many of those games was with an injured roster while he himself was dealing with injuries. He deserves a real chance here. Tardiness and tantrums was a tough line but I think the take was unfair
@jaron_ab @jwquick Fair points but I do agree with Quick that Cronin hasn't done a great job of conveying where we are at and the future moving forward. I think this was an opportunity to reassure the fanbase and get them excited for what we are building.
