We enjoyed talking to lots of enthusiastic pupils and parents about GCSE languages last week! Great to hear so many pupils realising the benefit of language learning π @ripleystthomas
Mrs Berry presented certificates to the top 20 Y7 pupils who had taken part in the #RoutesintoLanguages#NationalSpellingBee Stage 1. This competition is invaluable in helping Y7 pupils keep on top of their vocabulary. Well done to all - good luck for Stage 2! @RipleyLanguages
Great to have @globalaffairslu in school today talking to year 9 about all things languages including career options, benefits of language learning and some great anecdotes of how a little language goes a long way! Merci βοΈ @ripleystthomas
Y10 pupils have created penpal links with Sasserno International School, Nice. They wrote in French introducing themselves and were excited to get their letters back from France. It's a great chance for them to practise written French and learn about life in the South of France.
We were thrilled to hand over 73 advent calendars to Kat Michaels from @CancerCareLocal fundraising team today. A very caring pupil in 9Stuart had kickstarted her own collection so this was opened to other Y9 forms, putting our #service value into action! @RipleyLanguages
To avoid disappointment, make sure you order your tickets now for our beautiful Carol Service to be held in Ripley Chapel on Tuesday 17 December 2024 at 7pm.
The retiring collection will be donated to @TheOliveBranc16 Food Bank.
