I'm outstretched and taffystung
by the birch and the bees
anchored in the amberlust
starry scars on my knees
for here you have me rooted
I'm as leaves in how I fell
color me in autumn's crimson
as I bough beneath your spell
@shepherdmoon53@bywayofwords Two of my favorite poets and gentlemen; I miss you both, and your beautiful words too.
I'm not really around, because I've been fighting major depression, but you're both in my thoughts and I hope that December has been a wonderful month for you both so far.
All my love. ❤❤
@michaeldean81 @BamstheBWGC for you:
a forest-deep thinker
he tethers to leaves
gentles by snowfall
wears kindness as sleeves
wiles time by his nature
his wild heart roams
mind ever cloudward
feet seeking home
& greeted by paws
he pauses to smile
for this wanderlust wanderer
has been loved, all the while
a writer's love language
bound to verse and to flow
she lays down her poems
where her heart may yearn to go
and wounds borne and buried
may yet bleed anew
but stronger she'll mend
with every soulful word's tattoo
@macgregor_andy@AspienBlue Awwww, bless. Lovely to be missed, my dear friend. I've been battling depression, but I hope my words (and rhymes, of course!) will find me again soon. Cheers and hear-hears to being avant-garde with you fine and wonderful wordsmiths! 💙💙
@AspienBlue@macgregor_andy Earjoy is such a wonderful portmanteau, I love it, Andy! Thank you so much for tagging me; this is a beautifully expressive piece, and I love the unique rhyming scheme, Blue. I'm with you both—rhyme in poetry is a creative joy to work within, and you both do it so well! ❤
