As we mourn the irreplaceable loss of innocent lives to an egregious act of terror, we simultaneously pay the highest tribute to the Indian Armed Forces. Heartiest congratulations to Shri P. Kumaran sir on his appointment as India’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
Having had the privilege of learning invaluable lessons from him at the Raisina Dialogue and observing his dedication while working with the Ministry of External Affairs as an Intern at South Block, he remains my greatest professional inspiration. While it is personally bittersweet to no longer see him in the corridors of South Block as frequently, his elevation to such a critical post in London is a proud moment for the nation.

1/3 Having personally attended the recent inter-ministerial press briefings, I am completely baffled by the ongoing panic buying of fuel. Let me be absolutely clear: There is NO fuel shortage in India. The dry-outs at local pumps are an artificial crisis caused by hoarding.

2/3 These empty pumps are mere logistical bottlenecks, not supply issues. Oil tankers are actively en route replenishing stations. The facts: India’s energy security is highly robust, with national strategic reserves securely holding a 30 to 60-day supply for the entire country.
