Accept your kids the way they are. Don't birth them if you can't agree they're going to different from you. They have the liberty to live their life on their own terms instead of following their parents' path. Everyone has different callings in life. THEY DESERVE TO BE RESPECTED.
Many parents also think that since they've invested in their hardwork raising their kids, they owe them back everything like finances, letting go of what they want just to seek parents' approval. Yes they've done much to the children and they need to be respected. But to repay?😑
Most parents have this typical mindset of thinking their kids must fit into a certain criteria just as them in any factors such as a career choice, choice of choosing their own life partner (if they like) or any choices. You must get rid of this blatant narrative.
Also, your kids do not owe you ANYTHING. You owe your kids a safe and secure life and you must hold the responsibility of making them stand up on their own feet and start to earn. NO, they don't owe you whatever they earn. Yes you've put in your hardwork but is this a business?
I never understand why most of the parents think that they own their children. Don't birth them if you can't digest the fact that they're going to be their own individual selves with different ideologies and choices than you. They must live a life free from that parental cage.
Making fun of your wife is NEVER funny. A woman's or a wife's inability or no interest to cook doesn't make her any less of a wife. Fat/skinny shaming is again, not funny. Weight doesn't define beauty. Comparison doesn't only make them feel insecure but also makes them weaker💔
Wife jokes include commenting on your wife's weight gain, inability to cook, or comparing her to other's wives. Highlighting on her insecurities is another big thing which shouldn't be ignored. We should not only practice not using these, but also call out our bros.
People from another country are facing way more abuse than you shouldn't stop you from fighting for your own individual rights. Fundamental rights are basic human rights. They're not privileges. Only when you stand for yourself, you automatically stand for everyone.
And to those who say that we must be happy that our country has lesser violence, STOP IT RIGHT THERE! It's very awful and regressive to feel privileged regarding it. Abuse is abuse no matter how big or small it is. Every woman's rights matter. In EVERY part of the world.
The next time when someone asks you what's the need of feminism, talk about what's happening in Iran. I've heard people say nowadays women have everything and we don't have to fight. We freaking have to. For a safer world and to have basic fundamental rights to live. Period.
Those who use other's phones without permission are scum, but those who let others use their phone are worse than scum. Gurthupettuko yedava, privacy anedi okati undaali kadaa, nikosam kaakapoyinaa ninnu nammina vaalla kosam🥲
Me: My mom cooks everyday.
Society: Okay.
Me: My dad cooks everyday.
Society: What happened to your mom? Is she unwell? Is she okay? Is is working? Why doesn't she cook? She doesn't know how to?
