A International Workers' Day rally organized by bosses and attended by workers out of obligation isn’t just ironic, it’s completely ANTI–Labor Day.
When a day meant to stand up for workers’ rights turns into an exercise of control over them, it’s not May Day anymore, it’s the very thing it was meant to oppose 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Another lie busted.
GoM claimed the $400 Million was taken out by the previous government in 2019 while HCI has clarified it was in 2024.
New day, new lie busted.
No amount of reshuffling ministers or replacing SOE heads will solve the problem, because that’s not where the problem begins.
While we are all focused on resignations, don’t lose sight of what actually matters.
Keep the pressure where it counts:
1. Billions wasted every year on unnecessary political appointments
2. Major corruption scandals within ministries and SOEs
3. Ongoing refusal to respond to RTIs and lack of transparency in public spending
4. Tens of millions in public funds funneled to media outlets to mute scrutiny on corruption and mismanagement
Changing faces doesn’t fix a broken system. Fixing the system does.
When the mother first reached out, Azan was alive, you failed to act.
Eight months later, when you finally responded, Azan was still alive, you refused to take responsibility.
When I first raised this issue, Azan was still alive, you chose silence.
When I raised it again, Azan was still alive, you were silent and no one held accountable
When I brought it up this morning, admitted but Azan was still alive, you still said nothing.
Now Azan is no longer with us, lifeless body buried and you are still silent and whoever responsible is freely roaming around.
So I am asking you again, @NSPAmaldives & @stoplc , when will you speak up?
When will you hold those responsible accountable? How much longer do you need?
How many more need to suffer before you admit failures and fix those?
Do not, even for a moment, think this case, and your responsibility, will be buried along with him. I will keep on asking until I get an answer!

TRIGGER WARNING ‼️
Remember this case?
We finally managed to get the tube through a private party, brought it to the Maldives, but didn’t tell the mom to surprise her… I got ready to go deliver it, so EXCITED, messaged the mother…
And this was her reply.
It was too late!
8 fucking months for STO & NSPA to respond and now this baby is taking his last breaths. I am not just heartbroken, I am angry. Furious. Because to this day there is no explanation from NSPA/STO. No accountability. Nothing!
The deterioration wasn’t caused by the lack of the tube alone but that does NOT give you any excuse to dodge responsibility for taking 8 months.
I swear by God, if this child dies, I will not stop. I will keep pursuing this until every single person responsible, paid with public money, answers for this and hold whoever responsible for the delay accountable. In this government or the next. In this life or the next.
Because if this child dies you have blood on your hands.
And this is just one case we know of. God knows how many more have suffered… how many lives were lost because of this kind of delay, negligence, and indifference, in this Gov and previous governments.
May Allah give strength to little Azan. May He grant him a miracle.
In just few days the price has more than doubled.
How are fishing vessels supposed to go out to sea like this? How are fishermen expected to survive? @Shiyamaldives
This is what happens when a government ignores the reality of a country. Fishermen, boat crews, and their families are paying the price for policy failures.
If this continues, the fishing industry will grind to a halt. Workers cannot carry this burden alone.
Where is the responsibility? Where is the plan? @MMuizzu
