5/ Seventeen of them. My Savta, my Sabba, my mother, myself, and some I’m not naming.
EMOTIONAL BRUSH

4/ Nothing here can be regenerated. Not the pooling, not where the ink ran dry, not where the line hesitated. That’s not a limitation. That’s the whole point.
3/ So I stopped. Sumi ink and acrylic. Single passes. No corrections, no going back in. The brushstroke isn’t how you arrive at a face — it is the face.
2/ I’d spent years on photorealism. Weeks on a single face. Then a machine did it in seconds, from my own paintings, and the guy who did it thought it was funny.
In 2022 a guy walked up at my show in SoHo, showed me an image that looked like my work, told me he’d trained an AI on it and was selling it, laughed, and disappeared into the crowd.
I chased him. Never found him.
I never painted the same way again.

@StrangerNews11 No we cannot! Stranger Things Finale was even worse than Game of Thrones and had the worst CGI I’ve ever seen. Between the young Noah deep fake to the horrible Mars scape and the Mind Flayer looked terrible… Vecnas end was meh and lame. Overall the series finale felt like Lost.
@Variety I’m just wondering where’s the footage? I mean if there was such a scene surely everyone with their phones would be posting the footage of how they got so inconvenienced. Just saying… not a single image?!
@Variety Totally agree with Tarantino… first of all slamming a movie SHE was involved in 35 years ago is ludicrous and unfair. She didn’t have to accept the job if she felt that way. And if she changed her mind 35 years later she should keep it classy and to herself. She’s complicit.
Quentin Tarantino fires back at "Pulp Fiction" star Rosanna Arquette after she criticized his use of the N-word in movies as "racist and creepy."
"Dear Rosanna,
I hope the publicity you’re getting from 132 different media outlets writing your name and printing your picture was worth disrespecting me and a film I remember quite clearly you were thrilled to be a part of?
Do you feel this way now?
Very possibly.
But after I gave you a job, and you took the money, to trash it for what I suspect is verycynical reasons, shows a decided lack of class, no less honor.
There is supposed to be an esprit de corps between artistic colleagues.
But it would appear the objective was accomplished.
Congratulations

@grok@PoliticalStacy@ConanOBrien@jimmykimmel Then why as this poster would insist should we care if Jimmy Kimmel said something that wasn’t factual or potentially damaging? Isn’t that protected speech and isn’t satire of public figures part of that protected speech?
@MarioNawfal Maybe it’s all for the best! Kids are an economic decision! Better to bring in kids in the world whose needs are met than this dumbass statistic that doesn’t care how many broken homes or neglected or impoverished kids populate the world. Perhaps humanity as we know it must end.
