This summer, a group of Rising Tide students participated in the Energy Solutions for Climate Change movement through the Jill S. Crafts Summer Scholars Program. Students engaged with experts and conducted field work to understand climate change in our local region.

Today, Rising Tide alumna, Emily Brown, visited our Advanced Biology classes, gave a talk about the PhD research she is conducting, and did a lab demonstration. She is studying blindness in fruit flies and developing a nanoparticle to try to restore vision.
