Maybe it’s time for Ward 7 to have this conversation.
Naylor Road and Sheriff Road carry the names of white landowning families whose wealth and property were tied to the enslavement of Black people in DC. 😢
It's time we renamed one of them "Vincent C. Gray Road," honoring a former Mayor, Council Chairman, and proud Ward 7 resident! @VinceGrayWard7 more than deserves this honor!! 💯
We can remember history without continuing to honor the people who enslaved us. 🤷🏾♂️🙏🏾💪🏾 #TogetherDCCan #Ward7Strong @mayorvincegray
Good news! The bill that would give Buwa Binitie development rights at Parcel 13 on St. Elizabeth's campus is no longer on the agenda for markup today. This is a win for all the neighbors who have been calling for an end to business as usual and a land giveaway to a developer the District is actively suing.
WE’RE BACK, DC! 🔥
After a summer break, The People’s Voice DC is kicking off a BRAND-NEW SEASON! And we’re coming back with a conversation you don’t want to miss!
Fresh conversations. Same mission: giving the PEOPLE a voice!

Since the 2024 DC Primary Election is over. Are there any candidates looking to donate one sign from their race for archival purposes? Spread the word!
🚨WE DID IT! @ChmnMendelson has restored funding to the Community Schools Program in the Committee of the Whole report. This still must be preserved by full council & we have many more, critical yet to be achieved objectives in this budget, but this is a huge win for our schools!
