This goes EXACTLY into what I meant when I said Denji’s life was metaphorically a chainsaw. His entire life was a spinning blade of self sabotage, hurting everyone around him. For the first time in his entire life he was able to leave the chainsaw behind to help someone in need.
Part 2 we find a shell of a boy, still trying to navigate what he needs, with people trying to tell him what he "wants" all because he holds his special status. And out of desperation, ego, and ignorance leads himself to hell
Chainsawman is about a young naive boy who started with nothing, suddenly reaching rockstar status despite just wanting deep down normal relationships.
After part 1, he keeps trying to re-capture that high of "being the most important person in the world"
In the end, this is a story about a young boy given too much power and influence without the proper support or social system around him.
Part 1 had him set up as "something greater", he finds out what he really needs, and all support, good and bad getting forcefully ripped away
Marathon is fun, but so unnecessarily complicated.
So I made a cheat sheet so I don't have to keep reading all these item descriptions. I am VERY new so this is for beginners who just want the basics.
Retweet this so Marathon can simplify all this.
(Why are there 16 fonts?)
My Marathon wishlist rn:
- Shooting range to test builds
- Vault and loadout screens merged together
- Gear and Factions tabs being accessible from a navigation bar (going to menu to switch between the two is awkward)
- Inventory shortcuts in line with other games
@artificial0wl Larp so dedicated that they refuse to read basic lore of the setting
AH literally had to make a video with "Yea we super earth did enslave the cyborgs"
