PaperTrail started with a pain point I was personally facing.

I wasn’t sure if it was even a real problem, so I went deep researched, spoke to people, validated it.

Turns out, I wasn’t the only one.

Still wasn’t sure if the idea was worth building.

Built it anyway. :)

spent today building an ICP for a practice company

realised most people (me, 3 days ago) think ICP means "b2b saas, 10-200 employees"

that's not an ICP. that's a filter.

the real one had 4 things:

already uses [tool]
hired a [role] in the last 90 days
2+ open roles on that team
no [category] tool in their stack

every one of those is a reason to email them. that's the difference.
