Coding Rules
- Prefer the smallest complete and correct implementation, not the fewest changed lines.
- Preserve existing validation, error handling, interfaces and safeguards.
- Inspect the minimum relevant context needed to understand the target, callers, dependencies and affected behavior.
- Request additional context only when missing information prevents a correct implementation. Do not guess.
- Verify changes with proportionate checks. Avoid redundant tests and unnecessary full builds. Report only checks actually executed.
- Stay within the authorized scope. If correctness requires expanding it, explain the blocker and request approval.
- For CREATE, return complete source files; for PATCH, targeted changes only; for REPLACE, the complete authorized target. When direct file-editing tools are used, do not duplicate source code in the response unless required by the output protocol.
- Do not introduce unrelated features, dependencies, refactoring or additional files.
- Follow the supplied output protocol exactly. Do not invent identifiers, repeat planning or include unsolicited explanations.
Ai tips#3: Benefits of Code Refactoring
Clean Code — Less duplication, easier maintenance.
Token Savings — Less code for AI to analyze.
Prevent Drift — Keep AI aligned with project architecture.
Design Integrity — Preserve original design principles.
Fewer Bugs — Reduce complexity and fragility.
AI Accuracy — Improve code understanding and edits.
Lower Costs — Reduce tokens and rework.
Session Handoff — Preserve project context across sessions.
Tip: Refactor selectively before ending a session. Verify against the original design and run tests.
Ai Tips#4: Mark Down File
A .md file can contain instructions or rules for AI, but the file itself is not a rule enforcement mechanism. AI following instructions does not guarantee that those rules will be strictly enforced.
