I Tried to get to/watch as many games as I could this year. Long season with a lot of highs and lows. Here are some of the top moments from my perspective. 🔴⚪🔵🧵
@UMaineRecruits 2 recruit flips from Maine this cycle. Maybe impact of new eligibility rules looming where these kids either have 4 YOE if starting this fall or 3 YOE if starting 2027?

@FutureBlueIce Hoping they can fill the void of the players we lost. But after finishing 9th in HEA and 46th in NPI, it really doesn’t matter who transfers.

@peteopher There are going to be changes every year until something like a CBA happens. Frustrating for players and coaches trying to navigate.
For UML, there are recruits who might have to come early now to get the full 4 years
As far as I can understand, all incoming freshman next year will have either:
4 years of eligibility
5 years of eligibility if graduating HS this spring
For recruits coming in 2027: 5 year eligibility clock starts when you either graduate HS or turn 19. Whichever comes 1st
