We have had a few people reach out about a shooting in the area of Churchill Road and the police response. All suspects are in custody and there is no threat to the community. The investigation is ongoing.

At 9:00 am this morning our administrative phone lines will undergo scheduled maintenance. The outage is scheduled to last 2 hours. We will post again once the service is restored. Use 817-523-1597 to contact police dispatch (non-emergency). 911 phone services will be unaffected.

We have been in contact with CISD PD. There are currently false rumors circulating on social media about a threat at the middle and high schools. THERE IS CURRENTLY NO THREAT OR EMERGENCY at any of the CISD campuses. They are not evacuating any of the campuses at this time.

Please be advised that the Water will be shut off for approximately 3 hours to replace a 2 1/2 inch water meter. This will affect the water on Meandering to Merritt. Our crews will work as quickly as possible to get Water restored to the affected residents.

Expect traffic impacts in the 6800 block of Lake Worth Blvd @ Hodgkins Rd while officers clear the roadway. Fleeing driver is in custody for multiple warrants including agg kidnapping and assault. No major injuries reported.
